5Rivers Foundation took its name from Punjab region in India, where the tributaries of the Indus River - Jhelum, Chenab, Ravi, Sutlej, Beas - connect. Punjab has a long history and rich cultural heritage and is the historical homeland of the Sikhs.

5Rivers Foundation is actively involved in promoting social awareness, education, and preservation of history.
